A larger facility drives the move, with a flagship taproom partnership at Summer Street and an additional East End taproom.

City Orchard is moving to a larger production facility at the Gulf Coast Distillers complex in Houston’s East End to support its growth across Texas. The production relocation also means moving its taproom. City Orchard is partnering with Tejas Brewery to relocate its flagship taproom to 2101 Summer Street and will also have an East End taproom at the Giant Texas Distillers location at 5610 Clinton Drive.

City Orchard will hold closing festivities at its 1201 Oliver Street taproom November 21–22, 2026, with Sunday, November 22, its final day open. A grand opening for the new taproom shared with Tejas is planned for January 15, 2027, marking the company’s seventh anniversary. The partnership brings a distinctive approach to growth in the craft beverage industry, connecting cider, beer and spirits through expanded production capabilities and two shared taproom destinations. City Orchard’s taproom with Tejas Brewery on Summer Street and its East End taproom at Giant Texas Distillers will give guests more opportunities to explore the participating brands together, with a full City Orchard taproom experience at each location. For City Orchard, the collaboration creates room to grow while preserving independent ownership and the orchard roots that shape its ciders.

“Our growth across Texas means we need a larger production facility, and this move gives us room to expand our capabilities with a partner that also has a passion for craft beverages,” said Patrick Kwiatkowski, co-founder of City Orchard. “Moving production also means finding a new home for our taproom. We’re excited to partner with Tejas Brewery to bring our flagship taproom to Summer Street and to welcome guests at our East End taproom at Giant Texas Distillers. These partnerships give us more ways to share our ciders and connect with our customers.”

“We’re proud to welcome City Orchard and bring more of Houston’s craft beverage talent together. We see tremendous opportunity to grow alongside one another and give our guests even more to come out and enjoy,” said Carlos de Aldecoa, President and CEO of Gulf Coast Distillers.

City Orchard retains full, independent ownership and operation of its brand, ciders and production.
